Innovation Creates Parking Wars

Innovation Creates Parking Wars

About a year ago our Innovation Seal Team created a thing called Parking Wars. It is amazing how it has helped to drive our awesome culture.  A year later it is still going stronger than ever.

The problem was a full parking lot. When the Seal team was done they had changed that problem into an idea to create a way to have everyone in the company start their day on a positive note.  What an opportunity to drive our awesome culture. How did we do it.?  Check out Juice’s blog about Innovation and D&D’s parking Wars.  Now everyone leaves their homes in the morning happy. They try to be on time or even early so that they can get an Early Bird spot.  If they are running a bit late they shoot for a Furthest Five spot to earn points toward a Tim Horton’s gift card or a Primo parking spot. Sometimes the first person in parks in the worst spot and loves it.  When your positive mood starts at home and your innovative mindset starts before you enter the building, magic happens. I love talking about innovation and parking wars in particular so please ask.  I even speak to groups about how we do it at D&D so don’t be afraid to ask.

Do me a favor will you?  Go to my LinkedIn page and click Michael knows about (Entrepreneurship – Culture – Building Great Companies on Great Culture – Innovation). I really do know these things but everyone ‘Clicks’ me for controls and robotics.  I can do these things too but my strength and what I love is the business side.  Thanks for the help.
