D&D's Great Toyota Drive

The Great Toyota Drive

Toyota is a great company with 3 plants within 30 minutes of our Global headquarters and we are not YET on their preferred suppliers list.  We will be soon as part of our plan called "The Great Toyota Drive."  Here is how you can help.

Step #1 - Know Toyota

To show that we are serious about becoming supplier partners we going to drive what they build. We are converting some of our fleet to Toyota's.  I just traded my car in on a Tundra and we have added a Lexus RX350 to our fleet. Beautiful vehicles and great to drive.

If you drive a Toyota, please share a picture and a story of why you love your Toyota or an interesting place your Toyota has been.

Step #2 - Create and Drive Hard on Opportunities

We are engaging and encouraging our employees to leverage their contacts and relationships to find the right people within and around the Toyota facilities.  We are having some fun with it and planning some contests within our company to keep the energy high.  As an example, let’s play the ‘Kevin Bacon – six degrees of separation game’ on LinkedIn to see how many connections D&D already has to someone at Toyota that we can use to populate our Touch system.
We are also working with our suppliers to help them be more successful within Toyota on their projects.  The success of our clients is our success.

Step #3 - Focus Precedes Success

Focus precedes success and we are certainly intend to focus on becoming long term supplier partners when we succeed in The Great Toyota Drive.   I invite you to take a few minutes to focus on our goal and share your ideas on possible pathways to success.  At D&D our success has always been driven by our employees, suppliers and the D&D extended family.  Join us in helping the Great Toyota Drive be our next great success together.
